Creative Strings is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit helping string players and teachers develop the confidence, creativity, and practical skills to improvise, collaborate, and engage with a wider musical world.
Your support provides scholarships, pay-what-you-can education, free learning resources, teacher training, school and community outreach, performances, and opportunities to learn from exceptional artists.

We’re starting something new: a street team for people of all ages.
Think “inner circle” for folks who dig the charitable work Creative Strings does and want to get involved.
We’re building toward something like a Khan Academy for music education: practical, inspiring resources that can help musicians and teachers around the world, regardless of what they can afford.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
There isn’t one job. You might:
- share a free resource or upcoming event;
- introduce us to a school, organization, artist, donor, or partner;
- volunteer online or at an event;
- bring your skills, connections, and ideas;
- sponsor a scholarship or help us keep more resources free and pay-what-you-can;
- or tell us what you think this street team could become.
You don’t have to be a professional musician, live in a certain place, or sign your life away. If you care about creative music education and want to be part of the scene, that counts.
