The Creative Strings Workshop Youth Program provides an affordable opportunity for string players ages 10-18 based near Columbus, Ohio to study fiddle styles, blues, rock, world music, and jazz with master artists from around the world. They will learn about arranging and composing, how to amplify and play electric instruments, improvise their own solos, and try many new approaches to music making. This year, we will be providing separate learning tracks for middle schoolers and high schoolers.

Dude, I had an awesome time at your camp. I can’t wait till next year!

Colin – Berklee student and participant

During their week at the Creative Strings Workshop Youth Program, students will participate in ensemble rehearsals and master classes exploring jazz, folk, rock, hip-hop, and other styles. No previous improvisation experience is necessary. Advanced students age 14 or older may want to consider the Adult program, which is more intensive.
